In memory of their father, Forrest D. Hedden, a Methodist Minister in the North Carolina conference, Forrest and Beth built and donated to Pine Valley United Methodist Church "Forrest's Playground." This serves the school program there during the week as well as on Sunday.

SDI Construction built and donated this public art shelter located in the 2200 Wrightsville Office Park in Wilmington, NC. The cow is one of the pieces created by the Chicago Public Art Fund.

At the Vineyard Church in Wilmington, NC, SDI Construction, in conjunction with High Places Adventure Group, built a 50 foot climbing and rappelling tower. The tower will serve as a recreation spot for the church and inner city ministries.

When the Cape Fear Literacy Council of Wilmington, NC discovered a leak in their roof, SDI Construction worked with the CFLC Board to replace the roof. In addition, SDI Construction reorganized the interior to provide much needed office and study space.
The Harrelson Center is a nonprofit center that supports and partners with other non-profits by offering collaborative services and below-market rental rates. As a converted county jail, the property also offers numerous design challenges. SDI Construction completed construction projects and made additional donations for the renovation of the offices for Communities in Schools, Phoenix Employment Ministry, and the Harrelson Center conference room.
Beth Pancoe's negotiating skills are phenomenal, as evidenced by her ability to convince Wilmington's business and political elite to cross-dress for a cause! The Big Greek Wedding, an ambitious theatrical production initiated, planned and directed by Beth and her husband, Walter, ran annually for four years to benefit Phoenix Employment Ministry. Phoenix Employmnent Ministry is a non-profit organization that works to find meaningful employment for homeless and near homeless people in our community.

Women Build is a project of the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity in which a Habitat home is organized and built by women. Beth Pancoe of SDI Construction was instrumental in getting women general contractors like herself and women owned businesses involved to build three homes for local families in need.
