Two large closets, a storage room and
a new hallway provide ample storage
space on the second floor. The flow
of the master suite is seamless.
Amenities like a skylight and a closet
window seat accent the finished project.
SDI Construction brought many cost-
effective design solutions to the second
floor. Existing walls and doorways were
incorporated. Instead of moving the
existing bath, a new hallway was built connecting the
bath to an upstairs
bedroom.
The second floor featured a small master
suite and very little closet space. The
second and third bedrooms had to
share a bathroom located at the front of
the second floor.
Previously adjacent to the family room,
the expanded laundry room resides
next to the breakfast room. The existing
bathroom becomes part of a now
separate guest suite. The family room
opens to a new covered porch.
On the first floor, the owners sought
changes to the kitchen, family room,
breakfast room and laundry area. Traffic
flow between the rooms was awkward.
The only bathroom on the first floor
stood at the back of the home.
By extending the back of the house, SDI
Construction created a living space that
flows between the family room, breakfast
room and renovated kitchen. A new
powder room replaces the former
breakfast room.

The home owners approached SDI
Construction with plans for an addition
that would span both floors of their home.
SDI Construction worked closely with the
owners to define their goals and develop
a cost- effective construction plan.
